You have been evaluated in the Emergency Department today for your nosebleed. Your bleeding was controlled in the ER with pressure. Your bleeding was most likely caused by dry and fragile skin inside your nose.

Please follow up with your primary care physician within two days.

Return to the Emergency Department if you experience worsening or uncontrolled bleeding, shortness of breath, feeling lightheaded or dizzy, loss of consciousness, fainting, nausea or vomiting, chest pain, or for any other concerning symptoms.

DC Inst – Ear Infection

You were evaluated in the Emergency Department today for ear pain. Your evaluation suggests your pain is due to an ear infection.

Please take your prescribed antibiotics ***or use your antibiotic drops as directed for the full course of the medication.

***Please use over the counter debrox drops to help clean wax out of your ears. As discussed, please do not use cotton swabs in your ears.

Please follow up with your primary care physician within two days.

Return to the Emergency Department if you experience hearing loss, discharge from your ear, headaches, fevers, recurrent vomiting, or any other concerning symptoms.
